It was a great ending to the 2015 season for Butch Jones and his football team. The Tennessee Vols torched the Northwestern Wildcats 45-6 and played arguably their most complete game of the year.
With two straight bowl game blowouts over Big Ten teams, this time against one that was in the Top 15, Jones has clearly shown he can have his guys ready to play during a layoff.
And he certainly did on New Year’s Day in the Outback Bowl.
Tennessee gashed the Wildcats from about the end of the first quarter to the end of the game and suffocated them in every way.
