Tennessee and Kentucky are set for round two this afternoon in Knoxville, with the Volunteers trying to go 2-0 against the Wildcats this season. John Calipari’s team is now 7-13 overall, but they have found two consecutive wins, coming over Auburn and Vanderbilt.
The Volunteers, on the other hand, continue their frustrating up-down trajectory. Tennessee just can’t seem to find any consistency, and this season is growing old quickly. The Vols won at home on Wednesday against Georgia, and now are looking to string back to back wins together today against bitter rival Kentucky.
Rick Barnes has controlled this series since arriving in Knoxville, holding an 8-5 record over Calipari.
