This is new territory for Tennessee fans. On Thursday, the Tennessee basketball program could send as many as four players to the NBA — an unheard of feat for a program that isn’t exactly known for sending players to the NBA.
It’s been since 2015 that Tennessee saw a player drafted. Josh Richardson went 40th overall in the second round to the Miami Heat. Before that in 2014, two Vols were drafted — Jordan McRae and Jarnell Stokes. In 2011, it was Tobias Harris.
Before Harris, you’ve got to go all the way back to 2002 to find Marcus Haislip and Vincent Yarbrough.
