One month before the 2020 football season arrives, the University of Tennessee has laid out its plan to host fans this fall. The school says that Neyland Stadium will operate at 25 percent capacity, starting on October 3rd. The announcement comes with the obvious caveat that things could change, depending on how things move with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Here’s the official announcement from Tuesday.
At the first home game of the 2020 season—Saturday, Oct. 3—gameday seating at Neyland Stadium will be approximately 25 percent of the venue’s full capacity. Capacity restrictions could change as the season progresses, based on statewide virus data and evolving recommendations of public health officials.
