The Tennessee Volunteers reportedly spent $39,793 on rings to commemorate their Music City Bowl and Battle at Bristol victories, according to invoices provided to the Knoxville News Sentinel by UT through public records requests.
The invoice from Jostens revealed that the Vols spent $37,193 on its Music City Bowl jewelry and $2,600 on the Battle at Bristol rings. UT ordered 164 “Music City Bowl Champions” rings priced at $220 each, as well as seven “Music City Bowl Champions” pendants for $159 each.
The event organizers for the Battle at Bristol provided the Vols with 125 free rings for their win over Virginia Tech in the inaugural game at Bristol Motor Speedway last September.
