Tennessee coach Butch Jones said Saturday that the Volunteers will wear helmet stickers honoring the late Pat Summitt this season.
“We all know everything that she stands for,” Jones said. “I think it is very fitting that Tennessee football and Team 120 recognize her and everything that she means to the University of Tennessee and the great state of Tennessee and for sports in general.”
The sticker includes a capital “P” with a circle around it. The “P” is based on the way she wrote the letter in the signature of her name.
Summitt, a legendary women’s basketball coach, lost her battle with early on-set dementia on June 28.
