Tennessee entered Sunday looking to cap off a sweep, and that’s exactly what they did. The Volunteers once again made quick work of Hofstra, who will be happy to get out of Knoxville after this weekend.
Hofstra would open the scoring in this one, getting on the board with a sacrifice fly off of Tennessee starter Nate Snead. It wouldn’t last long though — an error in center and a wild pitch would immediately get us back to a tie game in the bottom half of the inning.
Back to back to back RBIs would follow as Cannon Peebles, Stone Lawless and Reese Chapman would combine to give Tennessee a quick 4-1 lead.
