After Tracy Rocker’s contract at Tennessee expired on January 31st, Jeremy Pruitt had an opportunity to make a potential upgrade at defensive line coach. With news breaking that Rocker would indeed leave Knoxville and head to South Carolina, Pruitt wasted no time in finding his replacement.
According to Bruce Feldman, Pruitt will hire Colorado defensive line coach Jimmy Brumbaugh.
Brumbaugh was the co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach for Mel Tucker in Boulder. He spent time at Maryland, Kentucky, Syracuse, LSU and Louisiana Tech before that. During his time at Kentucky, he helped develop future NFL defensive lineman Za’Darius Smith and Bud Dupree.
