Late in April, the now former Texas Tech receiver Jonathan Giles announced his intent to transfer. The 5-11, 185 pound receiver is now enjoying his 2nd recruiting cycle and has narrowed his options. He sent out this tweet, including Tennessee as a potential destination.
In 2016, Giles recorded 69 catches for 1,158 yards and 13 scores in Texas Tech’s wide open air raid attack. Because he played last season, Giles won’t be eligible to play again in the FBS ranks until 2018. Still, receiver is shaping up to be a big area of need for the Vols down the road.
