Tennessee already had a firm commitment from four-star quarterback Harrison Bailey in the 2020 class. That didn’t stop the Vols from going after fellow four-star signal caller Haynes King, however. The Vols ramped up the pressure on King after Jim Chaney took the offensive coordinator position this winter, despite their position with Bailey.
As the race went into the summer, it seemed like a two school race for King — with Tennessee and Texas A&M set to battle it out.
Tonight, the Aggies officially won the battle. King announced his commitment to Texas A&M on Wednesday night, giving Jimbo Fisher his quarterback prospect of the future.
