Prior to Saturday’s spring game, Tennessee Volunteers coach Butch Jones said the word of the day was opportunity. Quinten Dormady took full advantage of his opportunity.
The junior quarterback, vying to replace Joshua Dobbs as the team’s starter, was a perfect 10 of 10 on the day and finished with 120 yards passing and two touchdowns. He was accurate on short passes. He showed touch on longer passes, connecting with brothers Ethan and Eli Wolf on the same wheel route. He made throws on the run. He read a cornerback blitz and reacted by throwing a quick pass to Jeff George that went for 16 yards.
