Tennessee stayed hot on the recruiting trail on Tuesday, picking up a commitment from three-star defensive back Tre Poteat. The Wisconsin native is a member of the class of 2025.

Poteat chose Tennessee over offers from Michigan, Wisconsin, Florida, Penn State and many others. Wisconsin was the only other school to host Poteat on an official visit. Tennessee hosted him last weekend.
According to 247Sports, Poteat ranks as the 545th overall prospect in the class. He’s the 48th ranked cornerback in the class and the fourth-ranked player in the state of Wisconsin.
