Rick Barnes and the Tennessee Volunteers are just sort of treading water at this point in the season. It’s a strange spot for Tennessee, fresh off a season where they hit the AP No. 1 ranking, and right before they welcome the best signing class in the history of the school.
Unexpected roster losses and mid-season additions have made things even stranger for Barnes and his staff, which have been tasked with seemingly having to start over a few times already this year.
Tennessee sits at 11-6 overall, off to a 3-2 start in SEC play.
