Last year, Tennessee pulled off a pretty large upset in the recruiting world, pulling four-star linebacker Henry To’oto’o from the grasp of Alabama in the final hours. To’oto’o was out of California. This year Tennessee is heading even further west.
The Vols offered four-star linebacker Nick Herbig yesterday, joining a list full of west coast teams. Herbig is out of Honolulu, Hawaii, attending the same high school as Marcus Mariota.
Herbig is the 100th ranked player in the 2020 class, according to 247 Sports. The 6-2, 215 pound prospect is the sixth ranked outside linebacker prospect in the country.
