Tennessee-Nebraska Music City Bowl generates $22.2 million direct impact on Nashville’s economy

Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl officials announced that the 2016 game between Tennessee and Nebraska generated a $22.2 million direct economic impact on Nashville’s economy.

The game, which was played on December 30, 2016, also added an estimated $18.3 million in media exposure for the city, according to research conducted by Sponsorship Science. It was also the fourth-highest attended bowl game, excluding the College Football Playoff final, with an attendance of 68,496.
