After an abysmal up and down season that does not come close to meeting the standards of the program’s tradition, the Tennessee Lady Vols secured a No. 7 seed in the SEC Tournament under Holly Warlick by beating the Georgia Bulldogs 80-60 on Sunday.
The win allows them to finish the season with a 17-12 record but only an 8-8 SEC record.
Still, they were able to get a seed in the top half of the tournament and will face the Arkansas Razorbacks on Thursday at 6 p.m.
The game is a chance for the Lady Vols to get revenge after an embarrassing loss to the same team back in the middle of January, one of many that Warlick received justified and significant criticism for.
