Note: This is part of a series of posts recapping the decade for Tennessee football, Tennessee basketball, Tennessee women’s basketball and other Tennessee Vols-related topics.
With their 28-10 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores to finish the 2019 regular season at 7-5, Tennessee football concluded the 2010s decade right at .500, 62-62. That’s not the standard Vol Nation expects, but it’s better than finishing under .500, which would be historically bad given the prestige of this program.
It’s worth noting that a 3-1 bowl record helped Tennessee football get to that point, and their fourth bowl game of seasons this decade will be played on 2020, the start of the next decade.
