He was not even invited to the combine. However, Nigel Warrior was the only defensive back last year to test well against the run and the pass by Pro Football Focus. His breakout year with Tennessee football should have given him more love for this year’s NFL Draft.
This past year, Warrior came away with four interceptions. He struggled early, including a horrible game against the Georgia State Panthers and then a busted coverage that allowed the BYU Cougars to send the game into overtime. But he was dealing with no Bryce Thompson and an injury to Daniel Bituli.
