Going into the 2015 college football season, the University of Tennessee Volunteers had an abundance of depth on the roster. Then in the fall, before preseason, defensive back and nickel back, Rashaan Gaulden, suffered a season ending injury. Then, the wily veteran offensive lineman, Marcus Jackson, suffered a season ending injury. Just when Vols fans thought matters could not get any worse, senior defensive end and team leader, Curt Maggitt, suffered an injury.
With Gaulden and Maggitt out on the defensive side of the ball, the Vols could not afford anymore injuries.
