It started way back in 1899 when the Tennessee football team took a 5-0 win against the Bulldogs for the first win in the series. Believe it or not, in 1903, the second game of the series, the Bulldogs beat the Vols 5-0.
The first 30-point win in the series came in 1910 when Georgia beat the Vols 35-3. However, Tennessee owns the bragging rights to the first 40-point win which came in 1936 with a 46-0 win.
It wasn’t until 1992 when the SEC divided into two divisions that this series saw an annual matchup. From that time, the Vols hold a 14-12 lead.
