The game was ugly. Weather was even uglier. But Tennessee football still gave Vols fans enough to celebrate with a 28-10 victory over the Vanderbilt Commodores on Senior Day to finish Jeremy Pruitt’s second regular season with a 7-5 record and 5-3 SEC record.
After a 1-4 start with two losses at home to Group of Five schools at home to open the season, UT finished the game on a five-game winning streak and with five wins in six games. They won four straight SEC games after falling behind in all of them.
In this game, they fell behind 3-0 but reeled off three unanswered touchdowns to go into halftime up 21-3.
