Remember all the backlash Tennessee football fans received back in December for protesting the UT administration’s attempt to hire Greg Schiano? They were slammed for bringing up his connection to the Penn State scandal. It was unfair to him, according to many.
In fact, it got to the point that the program employing Schiano at the time, the Ohio State Buckeyes, came to his defense. Athletic director Gene Smith and head coach Urban Meyer both spoke in favor of their football program’s defensive coordinator.
Fast-forward eight months later. Meyer is on administrative leave for his alleged knowledge of a domestic violence incident involving one of his assistant coaches back in 2015.
