Once again, Tennessee football was well-represented in this year’s NFL Playoffs. The Vols had seven players on the four teams playing in the AFC and NFC Championships, and each team had at least one player.
But not all of them saw action, and only two of those players are heading to the Super Bowl. Still, the Vols continue their tradition of putting some of their own in the big game, which happens much more often than it doesn’t.
In fact, this will be the 10th straight year Tennessee football has put at least one player in the Super Bowl, and there’s only been one year since 1992 (2008) in which there were no former Vols in the championship game.
