From one Auburn Tigers graduate to another, Tennessee football replaced Tracy Rocker with Jimmy Brumbaugh to be its new defensive line coach. Rocker left to join the South Carolina Gamecocks, and Brumbaugh brings a similar profile with a lot more youth to the table.
Taking that into account, Jeremy Pruitt’s decision to lure him away from the Colorado Buffaloes, where he spent the 2019 season coaching under Mel Tucker, is up for debate. The jury is out on whether or not this hire will work out.
However, there are a few positives to Tennessee football making this move.
