Tennessee football: Brent Cimaglia opting out of season

Tennessee placekicker Brent Cimaglia (42) kicks for an extra point in the fourth quarter of a game between Tennessee and Missouri at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn., Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020.

Paxton Brooks will replace Brent Cimaglia as the Tennessee football Volunteers’ place kicker.

Another player is opting out of the rest of the Tennessee football season. This departure comes two days after Jeremy Pruitt announced that wide receiver Ramel Keyton would not play anymore this year.

Senior place kicker Brent Cimaglia announced Monday he would not finish the season. Cimaglia mentioned issues within the program and the need to rehab “ongoing injuries” as his reasons for the opt out.
