After another poor effort against Cincinnati, Tennessee has dropped out of the AP Top 25 for the first time since the beginning of the season. The Vols dropped consecutive games to Memphis, then Cincinnati. They were able to bounce back against Jacksonville State on Saturday, but also lost senior point guard Lamonte Turner on that day.
Turner will undergo shoulder surgery, which will end his Tennessee career.
So now a struggling Tennessee team will have to find a new way to play, featuring an offense that runs through Jordan Bowden and Josiah James. All of this just days before SEC play begins.
