After an unfortunate and controversial ending against Alabama on Wednesday in the SEC Tournament, the Tennessee Volunteers came out swinging on Thursday and took care of the No. 3 seed Mississippi State. That win earned them a rematch against Alabama, and boy — these Volunteers were ready to roll.
Blade Tidwell got the start for Tennessee on the mound, and as it turns out, he had quite the easy day ahead of him. The Volunteers came out guns blazing, picking up right where they left off against Mississippi State.
Luc Lipcius got Tennessee rolling with a two-run shot off of Alabama starter Landon Green, and that was just the beginning of Green’s issues.
