Tennessee Blows Past Western Carolina 55-10, Gators Next

It was what you wanted, with a little bonus special teams flair. The Vols scored an opening touchdown after a Western Carolina fumble, added three points on their next drive, then exploded for 31 points in the second quarter. Along the way Josh Dobbs went 15 of 21 for 144 yards (6.9 yards per attempt), and threw a pair of touchdowns including a 25 yarder to the back of the end zone to Preston Williams on the first drive. Jalen Hurd got in 11 carries for 68 yards and a touchdown, adding another on a five yard reception. The Tennessee first team defense completely shut down the Catamounts, and the Vols led 34-3 with a minute left in the first half.
