At 5-0 and in the top 25, Tennessee basketball has its second major test of the season Friday. The Vols will face the 5-1 Florida State Seminoles in the Emerald Coast Classic for a chance to advance to the championship game Saturday.
Rick Barnes’s team already has one quality win this year, having beaten the Washington Huskies in the James Naismith Classic in Toronto, Ontario. That win got them back into the top 25, as they are ranked No. 17 in the AP Poll and No. 16 in the Coaches Poll.
A win Friday would be their second win away from home and second Power Five victory as well.
