With a 16-15 record to close out the regular season and only a hope and a prayer to get to the NCAA Tournament, two Tennessee basketball players at least earned some postseason recognition for the 2016-2017 season.
A day before the SEC Tournament was set to begin, senior guard Robert Hubbs III made Second-Team All-SEC while freshman forward Grant Williams made the SEC All-Freshman team.

Hubbs, who played for three coaches in four years at Tennessee, finally began to thrive this year with his second year in Rick Barnes’s system.
