After back-to-back road games, Tennessee basketball returns home to begin a three-game homestand. First up are the Missouri Tigers, which happens to be former head coach Cuonzo Martin’s return to Rocky Top.
Martin was the head man for the Vols from 2011-2014. During his stint, Martin led Tennessee to two NIT appearances and one trip to the NCAA Tournament which ended with a two-point Sweet Sixteen loss to Michigan.
His best season came in 2013-14 where the Vols won 24 games and won three games in the NCAA Tournament. If it wasn’t for a late run to end the regular season, winning five of their last six games, Martin and the Vols might have been left out of the big dance.
