He already has a top five recruiting class for 2020. But Rick Barnes is not done. On Friday, Tennessee basketball added another member to that class, this time going outside of the United States of America for even more talent.
Santiago Vescovi of the NBA Global Academy and originally from Uruguay committed to the Vols, according to Evan Daniels of 247Sports. At 6’2″ 180 pounds, he is the fourth commitment in the class, joining five-stars Jaden Springer and Keon Johnson and four-stars Corey Walker Jr.
With his commitment, there’s a chance Tennessee basketball has four players from outside the country on next year’s team, as Yves Pons is out of France, Uros Plavsic is from Serbia and Olivier Nkamhoua is from Finland.
