Yves Pons was the only four-star recruit on the Tennessee basketball team last season. According to 247Sports Composite, Pons was the No. 127 prospect and No. 28 small forward from the 2017 class.
Although Pons didn’t give the Vols four-star production, he is still very much a part of the future. It’s hard to put a price on offseason workouts, but we should see a different player next season.
We aren’t suggesting he had a terrible first year on campus. He only averaged 5.2 minutes per game. However, sometimes, especially on defense he looked a little lost.
