Another day, another Tennessee Volunteer win against the Kentucky Wildcats.
Thanks to 16 runs and 13 hits - from nine different players - the Tennessee Volunteers were able to thrash its SEC opponent 16-1 and secure its first SEC road-series win under head coach Tony Vitello.
Seven players drove in runs and six finished with multiple RBIs.
Junior pitcher Garrett Stallings was solid in the win, setting a new career-high in strikeouts (8) during a SEC matchup. He allowed just one run and six hits in seven innings.
The Vols got off to a quick 2-0 start, but Kentucky made things interesting in the second inning after Brayden Daniel’s single up the middle led to a T.
