Tennessee baseball (17-4, 2-1) played a one-off midweek contest against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels Tuesday night at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Volunteers were able to take the lead early and wouldn’t look back, ultimately securing a 13-5 victory over EKU.
Jake Fitzgibbons got the start for Tennessee, pitching two innings before being relieved. The Vols would implement a slew of pitcher en route to the team’s 18th victory of the season. It was Zander Sechrist earning his first win of the season, however, after pitching 2.2 innings, allowing a hit, and picking up four strikeouts, while keeping EKU off the score column.
