The sixth ranked Tennessee Volunteers baseball team (30-8, 10-5) were in College Station to take on the Texas A&M Aggies (22-17, 4-11). After Friday’s game was rained out, the two teams met for a doubleheader Saturday afternoon and into the evening.
The Vols started game one with Chad Dallas on the mound. He would turn in seven strong innings in the Tennessee win, allowing one run on five hits, while striking out five and managing to not walk a batter. Dallas improved to 6-1 on the season with the victory.
Jake Rucker kicked off the scoring in the first inning with a solo home run, staking the Vols to an early 1-0 lead.
