Just three months ago, Dave Serrano was failing to take a team with Nick Senzel to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth year in a row. But whatever failures he had at the college level, Senzel is dominating his first year in Single-A baseball.
The former Tennessee Vols baseball star, who was the Cincinnati Reds’ top pick in the draft, joined the Dayton Dragons at the very end of last month.
And in his first full month of professional baseball, through 25 games now, he has three home runs and his batting .333 with 87 at-bats. Senzel also has driven in 15 runs, and he already has nine stolen bases.
