Two years ago, the calls to fire Tennessee baseball head coach Dave Serrano after four years with the program were loud. After another disappointing season last year, the calls were louder.
And now, in his sixth year as head coach of the Vols, Serrano is actually working to vindicate Dave Hart’s decision to keep him around.
At least that’s what they have shown through seven games so far this year.
Currently, the Vols are 6-1, and they won all three games this past weekend at the Tony Gwynn classic. This is one of the youngest teams Serrano has had, but the talent is intriguing.
