Three-star defensive end Mykelle McDaniel has finally decided on a school.
A member of the 2016 class, McDaniel announced Saturday afternoon on Twitter that he has signed with Tennessee.
McDaniel, from Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia, took his recruitment beyond February’s National Signing Day, the day most recruits officially sign with a school, due to academic issues. But last week, he became academically eligible and can play immediately this season.
With McDaniel’s signing, Tennessee now has 23 members of its 2016 class, though only 21 have already enrolled at the school. Three-star wide receiver Corey Henderson will play at Blinn College, a junior college in Texas, this season because of academic issues.
