Tennessee will play Furman as a part of its non-conference schedule in 2020.
While the school has not made a formal announcement about the game, the official Tennessee website revealed Monday that the Volunteers will play the Paladins on Sept. 19, 2020 at Neyland Stadium.
Furman, an FCS school, will receive $500,000 from Tennessee to play in the game, according to the game’s contract posted on the website.
It’s not immediately clear if Tennessee and Furman have ever played each other in football. The Vols went 9-4 last season and the Paladins went 3-8.
