KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Our long national nightmare is over. It took six weeks, but the Tennessee Volunteers are back in the win column, thanks to a 24-10 victory over Southern Miss.
The reaction in Knoxville was a bunch of “meh.” The Vols are 4-5 and still winless in the SEC. Most of the attention is on the coaching search to come.
This week the Vols head to Missouri to face a suddenly rejuvenated Tigers team. They may be 4-5 as well, but offensively they are starting to look like one of the better groups in the conference.
