The SEC announced All-Conference honors on Tuesday and six Tennessee Volunteers were named across the top three squads. No surprises here — James Pearce, Cooper Mays and Dylan Sampson made the first team All-SEC roster. Sampson was named twice, both as a running back and all-purpose player.
Cornerback Jermod McCoy was named to the second team, while kickoff specialist Josh Turbyville and offensive guard Javontez Spraggins made the third team.
Sampson is the first Volunteer to be named to the All-SEC first team since Travis Stephens in 2001. Sampson is still shattering school records, putting up the most yards (1,485), touchdowns (22) and points scored (132).
