When Darion Williamson didn’t sign with Tennessee during the early signing period, the Volunteers had a need to fill. They had already inked two receivers, but neither one had much size. With Williamson out of the picture, Tennessee set their sights on a couple of different targets.
This morning, one of those targets became a Volunteer. Demarcus Beckwith, otherwise known as Dee, committed to Tennessee at his high school today. The four-star athlete and cousin of Tennessee point guard Lamonte Turner became the 22nd member of the 2020 class.
Beckwith took official visits to Tennessee and Florida down the stretch in January, ultimately deciding to be a Volunteer.
