KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – One of Tennessee’s heralded 2017 signees, Evina Westbrook of Salem, Ore., has been named the Morgan Wootten Girls Player of the Year.
The Morgan Wootten Award recognizes the McDonald’s All-American who demonstrates outstanding character, leadership and the values of a student-athlete in the classroom and the community.
Westbrook, a 6-0 guard who attends South Salem High School, has averaged 27.9 points, 7.4 steals and 7.9 assists per game as a senior. She is the No. 1-ranked recruit by All-Star Girls Report and No. 2 by espnW HoopGurlz.
“I would first like to say thank you to the McDonald's All American Games Selection Committee and Morgan Wootten for this huge honor,” Westbrook said.
