Alabama senior long jumper Quanesha Burks has earned a spot on the Preseason Women's Bowerman Award Watch List, the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Wednesday afternoon. The Bowerman Trophy is collegiate track and field's highest individual honor. This is Burks' third consecutive appearance on the Bowerman Watch List. Burks won the long jump at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships and the 2016 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, while finishing as the runner-up in the event at the 2016 outdoor championships. Burks also claimed long jump titles at the 2015 and 2016 SEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships and the 2016 SEC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
