Tennessee officially signed five-star forward Nate Ament on Monday afternoon, giving the Volunteers their highest ranked basketball prospect of all time. The 6-9 wing chose Tennessee over the likes of Duke, Kentucky, Arkansas and Louisville.
Per On3, Ament checks in as the third best player in the country. He’s the 13th McDonald’s All-American signee in school history.
“We are ecstatic to welcome Nate Ament and his fantastic family to Rocky Top,” Rick Barnes said in the official announcement. “While everyone is aware of just how special a player Nate is, what really drew us to him throughout the recruiting process was the type of person he is.
