The Tennessee Lady Vols were looking to make their way into the Sweet 16 today in San Antonio, tasked with beating the 6th-seeded Michigan Wolverines. Unfortunately for Kellie Harper, her first NCAA Tournament appearance with Tennessee as the head coach ended in disappointment.
The Lady Vols were bounced out of the big dance this evening, losing to Michigan to the tune of 70-55.
Michigan established control of the game late in the second quarter, and maintained that lead all the way through the second half. The Wolverines did their damage on the defensive end, limiting Reinna Davis to just 12 points on 4-17 shooting.
