Butch Jones has handed out his fair share of jabs and uppercuts as he’s made coaching staff changes after The Great Debacle of 2016. He’s even taken a few punches. But Jones was on the receiving end of a stunning body blow this week as he enters his fifth and most important season as Tennessee coach.
Jones’ apparent protégé and one of the favorite coaches on his staff left the program when Zach Azzanni bid farewell to join the Chicago Bears as wide receivers coach. Azzanni had coached receivers at Tennessee for the past three seasons.
