Fall camp is officially open in Knoxville, and so is the Nico Iamaleava era for Josh Heupel. The former five-star quarterback has had the keys to the car since December, where he went on to help Tennessee dismantle Iowa in the Citrus Bowl.
Now Joe Milton is in New England with the Patriots, and Iamaleava is the unquestioned answer under center. Just a redshirt freshman, the hype is there for the California native. He was the only redshirt freshman to appear on the Maxwell Award watch list, and he’s been hovering among the top ten in the Heisman Trophy odds.
