I tend not to read too much into prospects’ comments shortly after they take an official visit. But there was one nugget that I noticed this weekend.
The comment came from Tymon Mitchell, a three-star defensive tackle from Franklin Road Academy in the Nashville suburbs. He told Ryan Callahan of 247Sports that he felt “a different vibe” during the Vols’ “Junior Day” this weekend, telling Callahan, “It kind of just felt like a completely different place.”
What does that infer? Easy: That Knoxville wasn’t the happiest place on earth before the Vols jettisoned Butch Jones for first-year coach Jeremy Pruitt.
